Summer time and the livin's easy

My Brodels,

It has been some time since our last online meeting. I hope you are all well.

I'm in Pittsburgh now, soon to jump into another new school year with a whole new group of freaks like yourselves. The school is called Central Catholic. It is the only all boys Catholic high school in Pittsburgh. Check it: pittcentralcatholic.org

Otherwise, I am just checking in to see how your respective summer breaks went. Mine was eventful, for sure. Went to a theology conference in June, hosted by an organization of which I am a part. It is the International Thomas Merton Society, formed to foster scholarship on one of America's renown social critics and theologians (now deceased).

Sounds like fun, right? It was!!!

A highlight was seeing Rage Against the Machine in New York as part of a day long hip-hop festival called Rock the Bells.

In July, meanwhile, I schooled it. Took a course on Literary Criticism. Very dry, but it helped me with refining my writing skills, which is a lifelong process, for sure.

Otherwise, know that you guys have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Best to you as everything gets underway at La Salle.

As per usual: Tell your parents and/or guardians you love them, stay off drugs, and be safe.

BRob

WOOHOO!!! Rage Against the Machine, huh? I thought you were more of a 311 guy? That theology conference sounded like a blast and a half! As far as my own respective summer, it's been good. I'm glad that you still remember us freaks. Although, I guess a year of being a new teacher at LaSalle isn't a very forgetfl experience, to say the least. Well, I hope Pittsburgh rox your sox because I was hanging out with some people from Pittsburg a couple weeks ago and it sounds pretty lame. I hope not, though. Alright, B-Rob, I'll catch you on the flip side, maybe I'll run into you while I'm slam-dancing or skanking to some Hip-Hop rock tunes or if I need some quality steel, because God knows Pittsburgh's the place to go for that shit. Can we curse because you're not our teacher anymore, hmmm...I don't know, I curse in front of my sister and she's 20, you're only 4 years older, right? Haha. Peese Owt, Bruddah RoB.

I'm sure 311's P-nut is jealous that you we to a Rage against the machine concert instead of his. But how can one resist a Grammy Award-winning American rock band, noted for their blend of hip hop, hard rock, punk and funk as well as their revolutionary politics and lyrics. Anyhoo my summer was okay I still have some summer reading to finish and all that jazz. My august was pretty lame. I got a cyst removed and i just got the drain removed from my wound i was pretty much not able to leave the house for a week. Anyhoo good luck at your new school and make sure none of the kids jumps out the window before you enter the classroom. Can we curse because you're not our teacher anymore, hmmm...I don't know, I curse in front of dennis and he's 16, you're only 8 years older, right? Haha. Peese Owt, Bruddah RoB.
Oh and if you want another one of my 20 minutes songs to interpret then here you go.

Wow, this shows how often I check my e-mail...
I would say my summer went pretty swell. Although, for the most of June I spent helping me and my family settle in after having moved in to our new house in december but, I got down the shore. Most of July and all of August was pretty much the beach for me. I was disappointed because dave matthews usually has a concert in hershey (and he didn't) so that vaporized my ninth year-in a-row for me. In July, I went to summer camp with scouts for a week and in August I went to the florida keys for a week; to sail the coral reefs (again with scouts). The waves (at the beach)sucked in June and July and part of August. Although in the last two weeks of August I was surfing pretty much every day I could...maybe I'll get a few more good weekends of surfing up through novemeber, better doubt it. :/
And sadly, now I'm back in school :)
